Summary:
This position will lead all aspects of Facility Services, Security Services, Biomedical Engineering, and Environmental Services. Responsibilities include meeting goals pertaining to quality, compliance, regulations, safety, and environment of care (EOC), productivity, service, budget, construction, project management, and employee development.

Provides effective leadership to the assigned departments of responsibility.
Provides significant input into long term goals and objectives.
Participates in activities that ensure the competency of the staff.
Ensures proper staffing for the departments of responsibility.
Maintains accountability for fiscal management of the departments.
Demonstrates good management techniques in established lines of authority.
Establishes training and development objectives and evaluates progress.
Monitors and maintains records as required by The Joint Commission (TJC), Federal, State, and local authorities and applicable regulatory requirements.
Develops manuals and guidelines for department personnel. Coordinates fire and safety measures throughout the hospital, including off-site locations.
Serves as liaison between hospital and safety officials, directs the development of policies and procedures relative to fire and safety.
Ensures staff complies with hospital/unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
Maintains Safety Management and Utility Management Programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, and TJC requirements.
Supervises and directs staff to include: hiring, scheduling, evaluation work performance, counseling, disciplining, and terminating.
