Description

Job Summary:

  • Coordinates and conducts drug screen, audiometric and respiratory fit testing including scheduling of appointments, identifyingpatients, explaining processes to donors, proper preparation of specimens and proper procurement of required paperwork.
  • Knowledgeable of DOT regulations always remainingup-to-date with on-going rules and changes. Demonstrated analytical ability to read and understand DOT & regulations.
  • Reviews policies and procedures related to the drug screening audiometric and respiratory fit testing process.
  • Performs duties requiring clerical and office skills for the Occupational Health Department.
  • Under supervision, assists with patientactivities, such as moving and transporting patients, providing supplies, and other activities required in patientcaresituations.
  • Performs quality assurance activities.
  • Demonstrates competence in ability to complete far vision screen, whisper test, obtain client vitals, and complete urine analysis.
  • Possesses knowledge and ability to train other associates to perform specific procedures such as drug screens and breath alcohol testingActs as a preceptor to instruct others.
  • Ability to calibrate the audiometric machine and breath-analyzer.
  • Schedules and coordinates OHS client appointments (internal/external).
  • Maintains appropriate filing system, including reference resource files.  


Qualifications

Education:    

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and additional commercial, vocational, or other specialized healthcare training beyond high school lasting a minimum of 6 weeks.

Experience:

  • One year experience in patientcare, in a health care facility.
