Description

Vaughan Regional Medical Center is looking for an exceptional night shiftPolysomnographic Technologists (Sleep Lab Tech) to join our Sleep Lab team. The Sleep Lab Tech duties include, but are not limited to:

  • performs all Sleep Disorder Center procedures, including but not limited to: sleep data analysis and report generation, diagnostic polysomnograms, CPAP, Bi level and/or oxygen titration polysomnograms, and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests, in a manner consistent with community and national standards
  • assists supervisor in daily operations of the Sleep Disorder Center, including but not limited to: scheduling, answering phones, and other duties as directed by the lead or director
  • safely manages the environment of care while providing quality services for all customers
  • provides physical and supportive care and sleep related health education to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
  • works under the direction of a Registered Sleep Technologist

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Currently registered as a Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) with a certificate from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or Registered Sleep Technologist with the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) and currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
