Logan Regional

Logan Regional Medical Center is a 132-bed acute care facility in Logan, West Virginia. The hospital offers a full range of health care services in a recently expanded facility. A renovated $1.1 million Physical Rehabilitation Unit opened in 2003. A $20 million Emergency Department and Facility Renovation, completed in 2005, added approximately 42,000 square feet to the facility and renovated approximately 8,000 square feet within the existing hospital. The Emergency Department includes 22 rooms, a portable X-ray unit, a CAT scan, a portable ultrasound, X-ray rooms and three trauma rooms. The second floor includes the Women’s Center, with three labor and delivery suites, a staging area and a nine-bed nursery with the latest in safety and LDR security features. PACS Technology, which allows physicians in the Emergency Department to make consultations 24 hours a day with radiologists at other facilities across the country, has also been installed. Responsibilities

·As a Systems Administrator you will be responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems.

·Review, implement, maintain, and support application systems.

·Train and educate end users on the functionality and operations of application systems.

·Document processes and procedures as they relate to the relevant application system.

·Test applications prior to implementation and ensure all systems operate as intended.

·Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues.

·Taking care of servers and virtual enviroment, managing server systerms and supporting virtual environment.

·Updating/patching servers 

·Managing backups daily

·System administrator will ensure the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers they manage meet the needs of the users.

·Perform daily duties of backups, maintenance on applications and OS, patching, tuning and troubleshooting.

·Provide necessary instruction and documentation for change requests, installing operating systems, loading (installing) products, and configuring operating systems and products.

·Recommend changes, upgrades, and enhancements based on the technical analysis.


Qualifications

·Minimum Education

·Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field.

·Additional experience equal to four (4) years beyond the experience requirement may be substituted in lieu of the education requirement.

·Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

·Minimum Work Experience
Four (4) years of application system implementation, support, and/or maintenance experience. Experience within the healthcare industry is preferred.
