Security Officer PRN

Logan Regional Medical Center is seeking a Security Officer to provide safety to the hospital, employees, and our patients on a PRN (flexible / as needed) in our security department with excellent supervision, management, and team-oriented atmosphere.  The Security Officers main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:  

• Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
• Investigates and manages all security incidents and hazards on the premises.
• Maintains knowledge of and follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. Facilitates planned drills and simulations.
• Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises.

Minimum Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required Skills

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• HWC required to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• WV Driver’s License.
