Logan Regional

Logan Regional Medical Center is a 132-bed acute care facility in Logan, West Virginia. The hospital offers a full range of health care services in a recently expanded facility. A renovated $1.1 million Physical Rehabilitation Unit opened in 2003. A $20 million Emergency Department and Facility Renovation, completed in 2005, added approximately 42,000 square feet to the facility and renovated approximately 8,000 square feet within the existing hospital. The Emergency Department includes 22 rooms, a portable X-ray unit, a CAT scan, a portable ultrasound, X-ray rooms and three trauma rooms. The second floor includes the Women’s Center, with three labor and delivery suites, a staging area and a nine-bed nursery with the latest in safety and LDR security features. PACS Technology, which allows physicians in the Emergency Department to make consultations 24 hours a day with radiologists at other facilities across the country, has also been installed. Logan Regional Medical Center (LRMC) currently has a position for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our state-of-the art Emergency Department working 12-hour shifts as needed.  We have a very family-oriented, positive, friendly, and team supported staff who are willing to go the extra mile to help each other out.  We are truly focused on patient care and our Directors and Managers are hands-on and provide excellent support to our team members and staff.  Although we are a small facility, we do many in-house procedures at Logan Regional Medical Center.  New adjustments in pay and incentives, plus our excellent and affordable benefits, PTO and Extended illness Bank (EIB) are some of the many perks our employees enjoy.

LRMC is fully accredited by The Joint Commission. We offer a full range of healthcare services in a modern and well-equipped facility.  Our services include a 24/7 Emergency Department (Level 4 Trauma and ACC Accredited Chest Pain Center), ICU/CCU, Pediatric Unit, an award-winning Wound Care Center, Nutrition Counseling, Physical / Speech / Occupational Therapy, Inpatient Physical Rehab, Respiratory Therapy, Sleep Lab, Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Rehab, Speech Therapy, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Hospitalist Services, Pulmonology, Medical Oncology, Infusion Services, and ongoing community education. Surgical services include both inpatient & outpatient services in the specialties of general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, urology, GI / endoscopic, orthopedics, ophthalmology, GYN, Podiatry, and ENT.  General Surgery and GYN Surgery are performed utilizing a recently added DaVinci X robot. LRMC has a full range of diagnostic imaging, including 3D Mammography, Fluoroscopy, MRI, PET, two 64-slice CT’s, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Densitometry, and Ultrasound. Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of a program for Registered Nurses with an appropriate degree in Nursing and licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of West Virginia or a Multi-State compact license. 
  • ACLS and PALS certification preferred.  BLS and CPR.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and to conduct self in a courteous and professional manner.  Utilizes the nursing process as a framework for patient care while recognizing the dignity and worth of each patient.  Collaborates with other health care members to maintain a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work in a busy department and take appropriate action when necessary.
