Livingston Regional Hospital (LRH) is a 114-bed hospital providing a continuum of care covering all aspects of healthcare, from 24-hour emergency services to rehabilitative services on both an impatient and an outpatient basis, a Level II-A neonatal nursery, a 10-bed gero-psych unit and many other services. Coordinates the planning, coordinating, implementation, and administering of employee health, which includes worker’s compensation processes. Works within the Quality Department to perform activities and provide resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives in quality, patient safety and medical staff services. Assists with hospital efforts to monitor and maintain a standard of care, which meets or exceeds the regulatory requirements and/or standards of the State, Federal Government, TJC and other regulatory bodies. Coordinates clinical student rotations in the hospital and provider clinics.
·Ensures OSHA employee health protocols are followed with providing education and notification to employees on following proper health screening, testing for TB and Hepatitis B Vaccine administration.
·Observes professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal or medical status of employees and patients within the hospital.
·Identifies employee injuries and assist with worker’s compensations claims and processes accordingly.
·Follow up with blood, fluid exposure and needle sticks.
·Ensures that documents for employee injuries are completed and retained according to OSHA requirements.
·Provides education on employee health and prevention of work-related injuries to all hospital staff during employee health visit and orientation.
·Conducts new hire employee health visits including drug screen, required labs, and needed immunizations.
·Performs departmental operations, including patient care delivery, data collection, information technologies, and service level determination, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
·Identifies potential areas of risk vulnerability, develops and implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or manage similar situations in the future.
·Creates and fosters an environment that encourages a culture of safety throughout the organization.
·Directs hospital departments to maintain compliance in accordance with Federal, State, TJC, hospital and other regulatory and accrediting standards.
·Must be able to recognize and report potential quality issues to hospital leaders and follow appropriate procedures in doing so.

·Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with medical staff, patients and their peers in all departments and administration to ensure a culture of safety for patients and all staff.
·Performs duties that support the successful implementation and monitoring of various quality and patient safety initiatives, such as NQP, Leapfrog, CMS, TJC, AD HOC special projects, etc…
·Functions as a member of the morbidity and mortality committee.
·Oversees placement of healthcare students and interns within the facility, excluding physician students.
·Clinical schedule management.
