  • Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient's history from available sources. Administers emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation.
  • Contacts medical personnel, reports/records observations, and follows directives from supervising Physician or Registered Nurse.
  • Administers medication within scope of practice
  • Performs and assist with procedures within scope of practice
  • Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.

Non-Essential Functions

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must work effectively as a team-member.

Qualifications

Paramedic Technical Certification or Associates Degree - Required

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved American Heart Association training center required to be current upon hire.
ACLS and PALS certification from approved American Heart Association training center required within 6 months of employment

Licenses: State of Tennessee Paramedic licensure - Required

Minimum Work Experience
Experience in emergency services related field - Required
