Livingston Regional Hospital (LRH) is a 114-bed hospital providing a continuum of care covering all aspects of healthcare, from 24-hour emergency services to rehabilitative services on both an impatient and an outpatient basis, a Level II-A neonatal nursery, a 10-bed gero-psych unit and many other services. Plans, coordinates, and teaches continuing education and in-service education for the hospital, including General Orientation. Develops monthly education calendar. Conducts Support Center compliance agreement training and other needed staff education. Develops short-term and long-term educational goals based on identified needs through Quality Council and annual assessments. Collaborates with managers and peers to evaluate staff competency. Coordinates clinical student rotations in the hospital and provider clinics.
•Determines and develops short-term and long-term educational goals based on needs identifiedthroughQualityCouncil,AnnualAssessments,specifictrainingneedsassessments, etc.
•Overseesdevelopment,planningandcoordinationofgeneralhospitalorientation. Coordinates with various department heads to include their specialty area.
•Createsandmaintainsspecificorientationmodules fornewIP,newRNandnewLPN.
•Developsandadministerseducationoperatingbudget.
•Managesplanningandcoordinationofcontinuingandin-serviceeducationforthehospital.
•Manages development, planning and coordination of periodic in-service training on those issuesidentifiedbytheHospitalQualityCounciloradesignatedPerformanceImprovement Team.
•Acts as AHA Training Center Coordinator, assigning RQI courses to staff for BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
•Maintains up to date database of competencies.
•Oversees preceptor education to qualified nursing staff.
•Builds professional development by enhancing staff clinical skill set through evidence-based best practices, promoting continuing education and training, and assisting with nurse retention strategies.
•Collaborates with healthcare directors in identifying specialized training opportunities.
•Partners with vendors related to new products and or initiatives in clinical areas.
•Conducts yearly skills fair in conjunction with hospital leadership
•ServesasmemberofHospitalQualityCouncil and Clinical Operations Committee.
•Participate in de-escalation staff training and education.
•Promotes adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and the Corporate ComplianceAgreementbymonitoringemployeeperformanceandidentifyingandresponding to compliance issues.
•Ensuresthatthehospital'semployeesreceivecompliancetrainingandalleducation necessarytoperformtheirjobresponsibilities,asrequiredbytheCompany'sCodeof Business Conduct andthe Corporate ComplianceAgreement.Trackstraining status.
•Administrator of clinical student database.
•Oversees placement of healthcare students and interns within the facility, excluding physician students.
•Clinical schedule management.
•Liaison with clinical site coordinators.

Education:
•Bachelor’sdegreeinnursingorotherhealthcarerelatedfield.Master’sdegreein nursing or a healthcare related field preferred. Additional state requirements as applicable. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements.
Licenses/Certification:
•Appropriatestatelicensureforclinical specialty.
•BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP instructorcertifications. Must obtain NRP instructor within 12 months.
•De-escalation training instructor certification.
Experience:
•Minimum of one year experience as clinical preceptor or management experience required. Minimum five years’ experience in an acute care Medical/Surgical and/or ICU/CCU setting.
