Summary: Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Essential Functions:
To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
1.Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatments.
2.Documents patient care given.
3.Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient and/or family.
4.Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
5.Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needed.
6.Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
7.Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
8.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Current State license or Compact State License (if lives outside of SC)
Associate degree or higher in nursing
ACLS – required within 6 months of hire and continuously thereafter.
CNOR Certification – preferred.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
