Job Summary

  • The IT Analyst I provides entry-level technical support for users, systems, and network-related issues. This role is responsible for resolving helpdesk tickets, assisting with PC and printer setup, supporting basic application functions, and escalating complex issues as needed. The Analyst I is a key member of the front-line support team and contributes to documentation and user training.

Essential Functions

  • Responds to helpdesk tickets and user inquiries, resolving issues related to hardware, software, printers, and login credentials
  • Assists with computer imaging, deployment, and setup for new hires or replacements
  • Provides basic troubleshooting and support for Microsoft Office and other enterprise software
  • Escalates unresolved technical problems to IT Analyst II or III
  • Maintains inventory logs for hardware and software
  • Participates in user orientation and basic IT training
  • Maintains documentation for routine IT procedures and knowledgebase updates

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows, Office, and networked systems
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred

Licenses/Certifications

  • None Required

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in a helpdesk or IT support role
