The Radiologic Technologist administers ionizing radiation and radioactive substances to patients.  Operates x-ray equipment, processes images. Prepares exam room, equipment and supplies.  Provides patient services using imaging modalities.

Primary Duties

  • Prepare room, equipment and supplies as needed for patient care.
  • Cleans and disinfects procedure room and equipment.
  • Prepares contrast agents for procedure.
  • Prepares patient for procedure, explains procedure, assists patient into proper position.
  • Follows prescribed techniques in administrating procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Associate degree or higher preferred
  • Registration and certification in radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) or obtain within six (6) months of hire
  • Computerized Tomography (CT) experience preferred
