Job Summary:   

  • Responsible for electrical construction, alterations, services and repair on hospital lights, power systems, electrical appliances and equipment

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Completion of four (4) years of High School/GED. Post Secondary or vocational training in electricity. 

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in electrical work or equivalent knowledge to have or obtain a journeyman’s electricians license.
  • Must have a valid Tennessee Drivers License

Skills:

  • Must have thorough knowledge of electrical theory, wiring, calculations, and local and national electric codes.
  • State and building codes and J.C.A.H.O  CODES AND REGULATIONS.
  • Read and understand wiring diagrams, operating instructions and blueprints. Some computer training desirable. 

Essential Functions   

  • Test and maintain emergency generator
  • Inspect and repairs transformers, motors and motor control circuitry
  • Perform all electricians duties at all facilities with the LIVINGSTON Regional Health System
  • Performs all other related duties as required or requested by Director of Plant Operations
  • Maintains and repairs all rooftop exhaust ventilation systems
  • Performs inspections to ensure compliance with the National Electric Code
  • Performs a variety of routine maintenance duties as required or workload dictates
  • Maintenance repairs and coordination of all service to patient bed, stretchers, and carts
  • Assists all others in department as needed
  • Required to be in the on-call rotation
