The work location for this position is Lewiston, Idaho

This is a PRN position (On-Call - No Benefits) - you will receive an additional 15% PRN pay in lieu of benefits

Hours:  8:00am - 4:30pm

Position Summary:

The Clinician provides inpatient mental health services including assessment, treatment planning and coordination, and individual, family and group therapy for patients of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Department.

Primary (Essential) Duties:

  • Educates patients and families on signs and symptoms of illness to prevent rehospitalization and improve disease management skills.
  • Completes psychosocial assessment on all patients
  • Plans and coordinates therapeutic program services on the behavioral health program unit. 
  • Provides assessment, treatment and case management to patients and families
  • Responsible for leading the treatment team.
  • Participants in discharge planning, arrange for follow up and develop mechanisms for exchange of appropri-ate information with sources outside of hospital.
  • Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in performance im-provement activities.
  • Serves as a resource person to healthcare professionals concerning psycho-social problems and community resources. 
  • Employs a multi-disciplinary team approach in the professional delivery of clinical and treatment services.
  • Organizes, coordinates, and participates with groups to develop support and service partnerships and ex-panded community options for clients and families
  • Develop treatment plans and recommends services and interventions.
  • Provides direct counseling to individuals, families, and groups.
  • Provides crisis interventions as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Social Work or related field prior to start date
  • One of the following licenses by the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses or be licensure eligible
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
    • Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW)
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LCP)
    • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Minimum of two years of experience in clinical care, case management or social services
