Position Summary:(See Skills Checklist for specific tasks and duties)

       The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care by utilization of the nursing process in accordance with the

       Establish hed policies and procedures of Southwestern Medical Center.  Performs a variety of direct and indirect

       patient care duties within the scope of practice of a RN according to Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act. Participates

       in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of Nursing Care. Maintains clinical competencies through

       continuing education and delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of

       available staff.

  • Successful completion of an orientation program or equivalent experience.
  • Current RN license for the State of Oklahoma (in good standing, without disciplinary actions or investigation)
  • Current BLS
  • NRP certification by end of unit orientation
  • PALS certification within 6 months of date of hire
  • NIH Stroke by end of Clinical Nursing Orientation


Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an orientation program or equivalent experience.
  • Current RN license for the State of Oklahoma (in good standing, without disciplinary actions or investigation)
  • BLS within 30 days of hire
  • NRP certification by end of unit orientation
  • PALS certification within 6 months of date of hire
  • NIH Stroke by end of Clinical Nursing Orientation
