Job Summary

Outpatient wound care, provides preventative care and treatment for patients with different types of wounds, including but not
limited to wounds of lower extremities, pressure sores, surgical incisions, wounds caused by injury or infection and other chronic
wounds. Ensures compliance with federal standards, state regulations, Joint Commission and hospital policies and procedures.
Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.


Qualifications

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• Must possess a current LPN license for the State of Oklahoma.
• BLS certification must be completed by end of orientation.


Education:
• Graduate from an accredited professional nurse program. Specialized training preferred. Must obtain Wound Care
certification (CWOCN, CWON, or CWS) within 2 years of hire.
