JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology and Systems, the network system analyst support end users throughout the facility with installation and configuration of software and devices. Serves as a resource for troubleshooting software and device conflicts and errors. 

Working knowledge of Operating Systems, Microsoft office, windows server, local area networks, cabling and telephone systems. 

Reports to: System Director IT&S

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Recognize priority work orders and act on them accordingly.
  • Achieve smooth operation of all computer, printer, facsimile, and telephone related hardware through installation of common PC hardware and troubleshoot device conflicts and remedy PC errors.
  • Maintain the MedHOST Security files as it pertains to user security
  • Maintains the confidentiality of patients’ records and employee information and uses discretion in discussing such information.
  • Always explains status of work orders or condition of users systems so that end-users understand changes made or delays in completion of work.
  • Takes departmental call as required and responds to pages in a timely manner per hospital policy.

Recognizes unsafe acts or conditions as defined by SageWest Policies and Procedures and takes immediate action to correct these acts or conditions.

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide end-user education as requested by the Director.
  • Participate in IS Department performance improvement activities as requested.
  • Detect equipment malfunctions, report same to the proper authority and know the safe limits of equipment operation.
  • Responds to Directors request for information and assistance within time framedetermined by the Director.
  • Executes job duties to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency, making best use of time during shift.
  • Gives accurate attention to detail when completing PC records, asset records, work orders while performing job functions.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge and understanding of policies and procedure in performing job duties.

FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS

Physical Demands

Lifting & Carrying: May be expected to lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance on occasion. Pushing & Pulling: May be expected to push or pull 50 - 150lbs with assistance on occasion. Position requires regular and consistent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing,pulling, and lifting of objects. Will be expected to use proper body mechanics. Hand Use: Manual dexterity is essential to perform designated duties. Both fine and gross motor skills are required. Working speed may be crucial. Talking/Hearing/Visual Acuity: Will be required for performance of the job.

Environmental Conditions

Universal Precautions – OSHA Job Exposure Category 1. This position includes tasks that routinely involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues including blood-borne pathogens and patient disease processes. This position is subject to atmospheric conditions that affect the respiratory system: fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
