Qualifications

Education

  • Registered as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the ARDMS within three years of hire. 
  • Registered in Vascular Sonography (VS) by the ARRT within three years of hire

Licenses/Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • New graduates must be registered with ARDMS within two years of graduation; all other personnel must be registered with ARDMS within one year of hire or, Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S)

Experience

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. 
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
