Responsible for the safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services. Provides material supply services for a variety of departments as requested.

Transporter I

Minimum Education
X High school diploma or equivalent X Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
X Basic Life Support (BLS)
Minimum Work Experience
Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred

Transporter II

Minimum Education
X High school diploma or equivalent X Preferred

Certifications:
X Certified Medical Assistant Licensure Preferred
X Current Georgia licensure as a Certified Nurse Aide Preferred
X EMT -B Certificate of completion of course work Preferred
X Pharmacy Tech Cert Preferred
X Completion of Nursing Fundamentals in Lieu of CNA Licensure Preferred
X EKG or ECG course completion certificate
