Description

The Materials Management Coordinator is responsible for Responsible for the inventorying, ordering, maintaining, processing and distribution of supplies. Works with department leaders to ensure par level supply needs are met. Maintain performance and quality assurance standards. 

X Works closely with department leaders to understand needs and adjust supply levels based on cases and inventory management strategies for stock rotation.
X Conducts and completes par inventories of hospital supplies.
X Performs all inventory cycle standards and adjusts par levels of supplies as needed
X Communicates case needs with vendors, contacts appropriate vendors.
X Assist in ensuring that vendor reps sign in and receive and wear vendor badges
X Maintains center core and storage area cleanliness as assigned meeting Infection Prevention standards
X Handles customer service inquiries and requests from department leaders referring to materials leadership as indicated.




Qualifications

Minimum Education
X High school diploma or equivalent X Required

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Demonstrated inventory skills, leadership skills, and skills in critical thinking and reading are essential.

Knowledge of preference card maintenance, fiscal management skills, Customer service, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards preferred.

Proficient in WORD, PowerPoint, Excel and use of the GE Centricity.

Minimum Work Experience
2-3 years’ materials management experience in a hospital setting, Preference card and/or inventory controls experience required
