Responsible for assessing, planning, managing and evaluating the delivery of nursing care within the unit at a clinical psychiatric facility, and the supervision and management of all nursing personnel in the unit. Supervise and ensure the nursing and clinical care services are provided to patients in accordance with hospital and accreditation standards of care for an acute inpatient psychiatric program. Responsible for the provision of a safe and therapeutic environment for patient populations. Manage and maintain compliance with the service agreement under the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) to include reporting, credentialing, funding, quality, treatment, and safety.

Minimum Education
X Bachelor’s degree X Required
X Graduate of a Bachelor's Program in Nursing X Required
Required Skills
Certifications:
X Basic Life Support (BLS)
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Licenses:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Georgia.
Minimum Work Experience
Five (5) years of nursing experience, of which at least three (3) years must be in acute psychiatric nursing with demonstrated proficiency in supervising, teaching, and communication.
