Our dedicated team of professionals provide caring and professional inpatient, outpatient and support services to adults and adolescents suffering from psychiatric or addictive disorders. Additionally, the Geriatric unit provides acute care for seniors in psychiatric crisis. Acceptable oral and electronic communication, ability to maintain information as highly confidential, telephone etiquette, and customer service skills by phone and face-to-face, familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred; skills in dealing courteously with the public and other staff within the organization; basic knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology useful; skills in prioritizing and in managing time; problem-solving skills; use of appropriate social skills, including demonstration and respect for staff and patients; empathy toward patients.
Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to providing clinical work expertise to hospital wide programs; Intake Assessments, Level of Care staffing, completing of a registration, and initial pre-certifications. Perform assigned leadership duties when required. Respond to telephone and face-to-face inquiries seeking mental health care or information about mental health related services. Facilitate callers to optimal level of care or resources. Conduct clinical assessments utilizing appropriate forms and in a timely manner. Document calls and related information on Intake Call form and enter data. Deliver social services in assigned areas according to patient needs, adhere to standards of patient quality care and work as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and within guidelines set by the Access Department and the Access Director. Conduct biopsychosocial assessments; individual, group, and family therapy; discharge and treatment planning. Assign caseloads/ staffing based on team member skill set and patient needs.


Qualifications

Minimum Education
X master's degree in social work, Psychology or related field with specialization in mental health X Required


Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.


Certifications:
X Basic Life Support (BLS)
X Handle with Care Certification or CPI within 90 days of hire
X Current Professional licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) X Required
X Valid Driver's License X Preferred
3-4 years’ experience in individual, group, and family therapy
Ability to assess the needs and provide the required range of treatment modalities and interventions
Prefer a minimum of three-years’ experience in discharge planning, clinical case management or a similar position in a community-based agency setting which provides experience in referrals for patients.
