Description

ScionHealth is recruiting for an ARU Revenue Cycle Manager to join our team. This position will be remote. 

Job Summary

The Revenue Cycle Manager will oversee ARU Revenue Cycle operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing revenue generation.This role will involve coordinating with the Central Business Office (CBO), Specialty Hospitals Division Revenue Cycle teams, and the Managed Care team.The primary focus will be on improving the patient’s financial experience while maximizing revenue for the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct contract reviews and analyze Letters of Agreement (LOAs) to ensure compliance and optimize revenue opportunities.
  • Perform referral analysis and identify admitting opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Engage with the denials team to track indemnifications and implement strategies to minimize denials.
  • Manage Interrupted Stay Accounts and ensure proper billing and reimbursement.
  • Review and approve admissions to ensure appropriate authorizations and maximize revenue.
  • Assist in the resolution of authorization issues to expedite the admission process.
  • Reconcile Medicare Clearing and ANRS (Automated Net Revenue System) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct mid-month and month-end Meditech patient account revenue reviews.
  • Analyze specific allowances, conduct bad debt reviews, and oversee collection processes to optimize revenue recovery.
  • Review Accounts Receivable (AR) screens and generate necessary manual correcting entries to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Able to review large volumes of accounts, identify trends, and facilitate mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to work independently to establish priorities and drive process change.
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel, patient accounting systems, and other applicable office technologies.
  • Understanding of the relationship between financial statements and Revenue Cycle processes.
  • Must have good knowledge of accounting, finance, reimbursement, budgeting, credit, and collection as they relate to healthcare.
  • Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Good and regular attendance is required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. Approximately 5% of travel may be required.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in a healthcare financial operations or revenue cycle role. Experience with Meditech preferred.

Position may be filled at a different level depending on a candidate’s qualifications.
