Job Summary

The Graphic Designer plays a key role in visually communicating the brand identity of the organization across a wide range of print and digital media. Working within the Marketing and Communications team, the designer transforms conceptual ideas into compelling visual assets that support business goals. This role involves collaboration across multiple departments and requires creativity, precision, and fluency in current design software and industry best practices.

Essential Functions

  • Create original visual designs for web, print, and digital media that align with brand standards.
  • Translate written or spoken concepts into visual materials such as flyers, brochures, signage, social media content, internal presentations, and advertisements.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Maintain and implement brand standards across nearly 20 brands within the organization’s portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop materials for B2B/B2C marketing, events, and internal communications.
  • Maintain internal asset databases for design files, photography, and multimedia content.
  • Use design trend intelligence to enhance creativity and project outcomes.
  • Support CMS-based projects and assist with uploading and maintaining web content.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations

  • Exceptional creativity and innovation in design.
  • Strong knowledge of typography, layout, color theory, and branding principles.
  • Excellent verbal and visual communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and WordPress is preferred.
  • Experience with PowerPoint or similar presentation platforms.
  • Photography and photo-editing experience preferred.
  • Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development.
  • Frequent use of computer and design software.
  • Extended periods of sitting.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 20 lbs.
  • Standard office setting with minimal exposure to hazards.
  • May involve collaboration in person or virtually across departments and facilities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related discipline required.

Licenses/Certifications

  • None required.

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in a creative or marketing agency setting.
  • Five (5) years of combined academic and professional experience using design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.
