Job Summary

The Director of Integration provides leadership and operational oversight for the Information Technology Integration Team. The position reports to the VP of Information Technology, Assistant CIO. This position works closely with all IT support teams in the design, development and oversight of data integration between both internal and external systems. The position will have responsibility for assessing and providing input on the strategic architecture, standards and capabilities that are utilized by the organization to ensure data integrations are secure, stable, efficient and compliant. Overseeing a team of analysts, this role will have responsibility for prioritization and overall team management work, administration of staffing and development of capabilities within the staff.

Essential Functions

  • Strong knowledge of integration platforms and tools (e.g., APIs, ESBs, ETL tools)
  • Experience with various programming languages and frameworks
  • Familiarity with database management and data modeling
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Leads, mentors, and develops high-potential talent across assigned functions
  • Promotes a culture of accountability, collaboration, service excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Drives change management and communication strategies to support enterprise initiatives
  • Assists in development and management of enterprise IT budgets, capital planning, and cost-optimization initiatives
  • Oversees portfolio management for major IT initiatives to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Evaluates vendor performance and supports contract negotiations and strategic sourcing decisions
  • Strong analytical skills to understand complex systems and processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations

  • Strong understanding of healthcare information systems, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to align technology strategy with business and clinical objectives
  • Executive-level communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills
  • Financial acumen with experience managing large operating and capital budgets
  • Proven change-management and organizational leadership capabilities
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on operational oversight

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (required)
  • Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience (May be Considered)

Licenses/Certifications

  • None Required

Experience

  • 5+ years active development, management of healthcare integration and interface solutions (required)
  • 3+ years management experience over an IT Team with a minimum of 3 resources (required)
  • Prior Experience in healthcare industry (preferred)
