Description

Job Summary:
The Division Vice President of Sales (DVPS) is responsible for the implementation, support, analysis, execution and training of the sales and marketing initiatives in their assigned hospitals. With the region’s senior leadership, hospital senior leadership and marketing staff, the DVPS will implement core standardized marketing and training practices and procedures to achieve the hospital's vision, mission and goals. The DVPS will provide support to enable their assigned facilities to meet admissions and census goals, provide marketing leadership and support to their assigned facilities to meet business objectives. The DVPS is responsible for supporting, mentoring and leading the assigned region hospital sales teams.

Essential Functions:
• Leads and manages the sales and marketing training, management, tracking, motivation and planning for those hospitals within their region.
• Ensures that all sales management tools are utilized by each sales professional within the hospitals.
• Provides sales management training through active participation in sales contacts and relationship development activities.
• Provides the expertise to successfully analyze market admission potential and strategies through the utilization of Med Par, Meditech tracking, admission and referral patterns and other industry standard statistical information.
• Responsible for approving monthly set goals and expectations for each marketing professional, ensuring that these goals meet the budgeted requirements of the Region and Hospitals Operational Leadership.
• Responsible for leading the development of strategic marketing plans for each hospital within their region. Provides training expertise and functions as a resource to facilities in developing marketing plans. Works closely with the operations and clinical leadership at each hospital.
• Oversees the referral through admission process.
• Actively participates in the interview and selection of Interview, recommend selection sales and marketing professionals in their region.
• Ensure that positive action is taken to motivate employees who are not meeting the admissions goals as outlined in the incentive plans for marketing professionals. 
• Assesses performance of sales and marketing staff in implementing marketing plans and takes or recommends corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure that all new marketing positions participate in the marketing orientation process.
• Review and approve market strategies to identify potential opportunities consistent with the organization brand
• Measures effectiveness of marketing and sales activities, including financial viability of contracts and goal projections. 
• Assists, by providing technical expertise and leadership, in product and service differentiation. 
• Leads and develops Directors of Business Development within their assigned region.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations:
• Approximate percent of time required to travel: 80%
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good and regular attendance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates leadership competence consistent with company values
• Clearly articulate strategic plans into measurable goals
• Drive accountability and regional performance


Qualifications

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Licenses/Certification:
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Clinical licensure (RN, LPN, RT) preferred

Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ senior sales management experience over the sales and marketing functions for multiple teams. sites and/or locations. 
• 5 years hands on sales experience with direct responsibility leading, training and managing sales teams. 
• Experience driving the referral process through admission along with development of comprehensive strategic marketing plans preferred.
