Primary Care Provider - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Location: Dr's Court, Primary Care Clinic, Watertown WI
Healthcare professionals in this role will demonstrate and serve as an expert in the role of practitioner, consultant, educator, and health professional. Prescribes or recommends pharmacologic and non pharmacologic therapies including controlled medications. Improves clinical and cost outcomes for key patient populations through collaboration with physicians and staff and by participating in strategic initiatives. Assures competent and ethical care of patients and families. To accomplish this goal the provider will work both autonomously and in collaboration with the medical staff and supervising physician, maintain a quality, customer-focused, nursing and medically appropriate approach to patient assessment, care plan development and implementation, follow-up to outcomes, and cost-effective delivery of services. Participates in research activities as appropriate. Community involvement and collaboration is encouraged.
Full Time, 40 hr/week
BSN with completion of a Master's Degree in an accredited Acute Care, Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner Program is required.
OR Graduate of a Certified Physician Assistant Program.
Current Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP) license with National Nurse Practitioner Certification required. Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number assigned.
OR Current State of Wisconsin Certification, National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Current BLS required, ACLS preferred.
