As an RN on Women’s, you will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Requires Valid Texas Registered Nurse License
Certifications required:
ACLS (must obtain within 90 days from hire date)
BLS (must obtain within 30 days from hire date)
PALS (must obtain within 60 days from hire date)
AWHONN basic fetal heart monitoring (must obtain within 30 days of hire)
L&D Charge RNs require additional Training in: Handle with Care
Demonstrated competencies in the care of the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient and her newborn.
Ability to function independently, and as part of a team.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Detail oriented, with ability to prioritize and multitask.
Ability to apply sound judgment with clinical skills for optimal patient care.
Demonstrates flexibility by accepting and supporting changes in work assignments as related to department and patient needs.
Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge of appropriate equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective patient outcomes.
