Palestine Regional Medical Center (PRMC) provides two facilities: PRMC Hospital and PRMC's West Campus, including behavioral health. For over 60 years, the citizens of Anderson and surrounding counties have depended on the healthcare facilities in Palestine. Serving approximately 100,000 people, PRMC provides 150 beds with a highly skilled staff of healthcare professionals. A full range of comprehensive care is offered, including the latest in diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services, both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Approximately 500 employees and 40 volunteers work closely with the medical staff, which includes over 70 physicians representing 28 different medical specialties. Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states.


Qualifications

Minimum Education
• BS degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or other science specialty such as Biology, Chemistry, etc.
• Completion of NAACLS program or Board of Registry equivalent.
• Must possess education credentials necessary to satisfy CLIA ’88 personnel testing qualifications for a high complexity laboratory.
• National certification/registration as CT, MLS/CLS/MT via ASCP, AMT, NCA or HEW.
• Will consider board eligible graduate from a NAACLS-approved CLS or MT program.


Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
